Insights from Marine Money
12 hours of talks and private conversations with traders, bankers, and ship owners
Yesterday, I spent the day, and most of the night, hobnobbing with shipping, banking, and commodities people at Marine Money in Panama, which is an event that connects shippers with financiers.
It was a fun and insightful day and in this post I will summarize some of the interesting conversations and insights from a day of hobnobbing with some of the world’s physical traders (Cargill, Monjasa, etc.) and analysts (Rystad Energy, Marsoft, etc.), with insights ranging from the future of fuels and investment implications, to the IMO’s CII initiative, to how trades on China taking Taiwan might be expressed.
